The PCGB National Show, & Federation Show, December 2007

"CONGRATULATIONS"

to

Tracy Chubb on her breed club champion win 

with her fabulous large black male at the National,

& to

Shelly Rogerson & her best oppostite size with a lovely white bantam female.

Thanks to all the other Croad exhibitors because with out you there wouldnt be a show, I had a lovely weekend.

My birds did well too with my black bantam cock winning his class & my black bantam cockerel winning his, both my boys continued thier winning ways with repeated sucess at the Federation a fortnight later, my young cockerel also won best opposite sex to the show champion.

Club show champion was Shelly once again with her white bantam female getting in to the top pens.

Claire Curtis was best opposite size with her home bred large black cockerel.

Well done!!

Continued sucess in the AOV Classes...

My birds have done me proud this year in the AOV classes at shows, my females  being beaten only once by Shelly Rogerson at Otley! ..but I'll let her off :)

Finges X'd they continue their sucess.

At Garstang Agricultural 04/08/07 my white croad male won the AOV class, took best SF heavy AND

best bantam in show, so i was very pleased with him, its always exrta nice when one of my croads gets up there.

Royal Highland 2007

My birds have done me proud again.

They have won  best exhibition pair at the Royal Highland show 2007 & it was a good strong class.

Although even though I say so myself, the male in particular looked absolutley stunning on the day.

My white female bred last year won a strong AOV class too & my black male took third.

(My husbands Faverolle male was 2nd & no there wasn't just us in it!!)

PCGB National Championship Show, Stoneleigh 2007

Winning Croad eggs at the National2007

The PCGB National Show at Stoneleigh 3rd & 4th February 2007

It was great to see the Croads once again, bantam & large at the national.

Mr Timms of Croad fame was the judge. I would of like to have met & spoken to him but i kept out of the way whilst judging was taking place & went for breakfast, when I came back he'd gone!

Disappointing that some of the exhibitors from the federation didn't show, No large whites on display, but a good turnout of large.. A good show of Croad eggs too, but in my opinion a little to light, I may have ago with some of ours next time!

Our birds did us proud, all getting cards & our white male winning once again.

One of our black females looked exceptional & Mr Timms obviously agreeing put her in the top pens to take the Croad's best of breed.

It was nice to meet our new club secretary Lyn Higel & a few other new faces at our 'extraordinary AGM'!

 The majority of my croads are in the breeding pens now, hopefully doing their bit to produce more breed champions for 2008!!

The Federation Stafford 16th & 17th December 2006

As a new comer to showing Croads I was a bit overwhelmed by the size of the show.

Jake Jacobs who used to be secretary of the Croad Langshan club before handing the riens over to Lyn Heigl,

said it was a good entry, best he had seen.

It was nice to see a good strong large black entry, & some very nice large whites.

A very nice large white female caught my eye, which was shown by Shelly Rogerson.

Th Judge for the day was P. Elliot, although he now has no Croads of his own said he had enjoyed judging for the day, but was quite disappointed by the bantam black males that where entered,

which was also as a newcomer disappointing to hear.

There where 8 entries in the cock class & 3 in the cockerel.

It was also nice to see a display of bantam whites, male & females. 3 males where entered & 8 females.

On the whole I had a very enjoyable day & learnt alot from the show.

I am very excited about some young Croads I have coming up for this years Federation, we will just have to wait & see!!

Well done to all the Croad exhibitors at the Federation 2006, keep getting the Croads 'out there'!!!!
